Snowshoeing at Maple Lake

Blizzard = Perfect Time to Snow Shoe. A giant size thanks to mother nature and delivering the arctic vortex to the midwest. Fifth snowiest winter ever for Chicago. Varied terrain and beautiful views make Maple Lake an amazing local destination to go snow shoeing. Since our crew varied in age from 5 to 46 so we stayed on the north ridge. If you have time, it’s great to circumnavigate the lake using the CAMBr trails or just making your own trails. Our shoes MSR Denali’s, Atlas and Kids Big Feet. It doesn’t matter the route or the shoes, just get out when the snow is there and enjoy the view.
