Big Rock at Morton Arboretum

A nice hike back to one of our favorite places, Big Rock at Morton Arboretum. This is a great short hike that could get longer or shorter depending on how many miles you want to put in. For me, most of my hikes are with my sons who are 4 and 6. With that in mind we have more fun together when there’s a destination. Lately we’ve been bringing our climbing gear to big rock, this includes webbing and some carabiners. We typically use these to “climb” the rock, I just like the guys becoming familiar with climbing gear. This time we used the webbing to drag logs and build a shelter, just in case we were stranded. We had a great time, pictures as proof. 🙂
