My First Century at the Tour de Farms MS150

OK, let’s start with the basics. I made it, I finally made a century ride. To be exact it was 102.8 miles. Not too shabby. The best part, is that I had a great time and met a bunch of new folks and raised awareness for MS.
With two scouts and a designers time frame I didn’t have all of the training time that I would have liked. I pretty much was able to get out once or twice a week and do somewhere between 24 to 32 miles. I didn’t train with Zwift for the winter, and I think that did help.
I planned on doing 50 miles for a minimum and hopefully 75. All my previous rides included me riding by myself, in talking to myself for six or seven hours in the sun. And when I say son I mean typically 85 to 95°. This year was different, we had outstanding weather sunny 80 and very little wind. If I was ever going to make it 100 Miles, this would be the year. So I started out mostly by myself for the first 20 miles. Then I just broke the ice and started riding with some other folks. It does make a difference having some conversation in some of the tougher moments.
