Winter Walk at the Quarries

Keith Nowakowski family, hiking, lemont, outdoor adventurer's, photo, Something Interesting

Why stay in just because it’s cold outside ? Not enough snow to shoe, so the boys and I went over to the Heritage Quarries. We parked at the eastern most lot, and really enjoyed the drive back. Our Subaru Outback helped make the road feel like an adventure with all the pot holes from winter. The boys ( and myself ) enjoyed all of the splashing and bumping. After we parked we walked back out to the west and explored what’s left of the ruins of quarrying the stone. We also found the remnants of party’s in the past.
