Centennial Trail in Lemont

Keith Nowakowski cycling, mountain biking, photo, solo

Rolling on the Centennial Trail. The intention was to be on my road bike but I’m dealing with an issue with the extra set of rims and reoccurring flats. This is now one of my favorite rides on pavement. It’s a straight shot with light traffic and no cars. Lemont needs to work on a safer, designated parking area. Since the eastern section of the Centennial is still closed you need to use the Route 83 connector to the I+M Trail. This section of the I+M is paved but showing it’s 20+ year age with plenty of buckles. All in all a great ride.
