The Centennial 30 – Late Summer on the Path

Keith Nowakowski cycling, family, lemont, photo, Something Interesting

If you live in Lemont, you just can’t beat the convenience of the Centennial Path / Veterans Memorial Trail. I like to park at 135th Street where the old Swing Bridge is located. From there you can usually pick up a tail wind in the Fall, at least on the way out. Today there were 25mph gusts out of the south, that made the last 3.5 miles of the ride pretty interesting, with a character building burn.

This time of the year is tough with the days getting shorter, but it sure lends to some really awesome sunsets and golden hours.

Get out while there’s still some light and ride like the wind. My Strava / map is below the photos.
